Utilising street dance as a potent tool for political expression, these performers confront gender and body politics, challenging colonial legacies and spotlighting indigenous perspectives on gender and femininity, dismantling and redefining the concepts shaped by colonialism.

The celebration continues into the night with an exciting takeover of Lower Cuba Street. In collaboration with Ivy Bar, we highlight some of Wellington’s best drag performers, DJs, and local talent. This lively street party also features a fantastic food market, offering a taste of the city’s culinary delights.
